The Trek 02 Journey

Recently, I set out on another film trek, determined to capture some fascinating images. With a digital camera and an open mind, I was able to look at the world from a different view. My trek 02 journey began at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus in Milwaukee, WI and followed down by Lake Michigan, before making a loop back to the UW-Milwaukee campus. After completing the trek, I used two photo editing programs. The first, "AvidFreeDv," provided me with a space to place pictures and video into sequences that I would be able to convert into a QuickTime movie. The other, "Picasa2" gave me a chance to compile certain photos and instantly create speedy videos, in which examples are the located toward the bottom of this blog. With my recordings, themes, and discoverys at hand, I hope you will enjoy reading my blog!

At an Angle

My film adventure directed me into a world of discovery. I soon found many corresponding ideas about the connection involving angles and shapes. Within time, I notice similarities between these to topics, that I would not have normally noticed, if I hadn't taken the time to look. Take a glance at my video and see if you can find the abundance of angles and shapes in our everyday things.

Trees vs. Lines

The theme I choose to investigate during my trek, was the relationship between trees and lines. In most cases, the trunk of the tree often parallels with straight lines, where as the branches typically broke off in different directions. See if you can view the comparison between the trees I photographed and the lines in other objects in the pictures.

In the Blink of an Eye

After completing my trek, I was ready to head to the editing room. This clip is one of my first rough drafts, in which I cut every picture into single frames and then spaced them apart, creating a blinking effect. Take a glance...

T is for Tree

On my recent editing spree, I discovered a way to incorporate slow and fast clips into one interesting clip. Not only does it show all of my tree photographs, it shows them with a twist.

Astonishing Angles

In this rough draft of an angle sequence, I placed both quick and slow clips to create a short video. Although I like this clip, I decided against it when creating my final sequence. It does offer a nice sequence, but I ended up adding more angle photographs in the end. Hope you enjoy!
